We love sharing our favorite clips from the stream to our Instagram.

But it's kinda tricky doing that, and we've had some commenters asking how we do it. So here's how it's done, step-by-step.

  1. Visit the URL of thw Twitch Clip you want to save. In this example, we're using https://www.twitch.tv/clawshi/clip/BreakableFuriousBatRedCoat

  1. Make sure your web browser has Developer Tools turned on (we're using Safari here, but Chrome works too), then right-click the video and click Inspect Element

  1. In the HTML source code, look for the <video> tag inside the <div class="player-video">. It'll have a src that points to somewhere that looks like this: https://clips-media-assets2.twitch.tv with an .mp4 at the end. That's the link to your video file on Twitch's server!

  2. Right-click that link, and click Open in New Tab... and boom, it should automatically download. If not, the clip should open in a new window, and you'll be able to right-click it and select Save As... to download.

  3. Now that it's on your computer, feel free to use it however you want. Edit it, post it on your social sites, etc. We like to use AirDrop to put it on our phones, then post it on Instagram.
